March may be here, but February's impact still deserves the spotlight. Sure, this update is a little late, but our mission hasn’t missed a beat. The coffee shipped on time, the work continued, and the difference we made together? That’s timeless.
This wasn’t just another month. It was a cascade of small actions that added up to something powerful. From national crisis response systems to service dog training programs, February showed us exactly how far your coffee can go.
🎮 Heavy Hitters Project: 11 Lives Saved
Heavy Hitters is a Discord-based gaming community for veterans to talk, connect, and find support—no red tape, no proving you’re struggling, just real people who get it.
So far? They’ve prevented 11 suicides.
Let that sink in. Eleven veterans are still here today because they had a space to turn to in their darkest moments.
We spent 8 hours consulting with their founder, Rob Heavalin, helping him scale and strengthen their work. But the real magic happens inside that server, often in the middle of the night, when someone chooses connection over silence.
That’s impact.
⚠️ QRFUP: Crisis Response That Shows Up
The current crisis response system is broken. Long wait times, impersonal calls, and no real action when it matters most.
QRFUP is fixing that.
Launching nationwide on Memorial Day, their app will connect veterans and first responders directly to certified mental health professionals. No waiting. No transfers. Just help.
If things escalate, QRF (Quick Response Force) teams of trained veterans and responders will show up in person.
This is what crisis care should look like—immediate, compassionate, and built by people who’ve lived it.
We spent 3 hours helping them plan their launch. We believe in them. You will too.
🐕 Coffee of the Month: Now Funding Sable Warriors
From here on out, every Coffee of the Month micro-lot supports veterans training their own service dogs through Sable Warriors, a program built by Marine veteran and professional trainer, Zuko.
Traditional service dog systems fail too many veterans with long waitlists and humiliating denials. Sable Warriors changes that:
-
Veterans train their own service dogs with a proven curriculum
-
Direct support from professional trainers
-
$200/month at cost to the veteran
Right now, five veterans are in the program. Four more are waiting on funding.
-
78 bags of Coffee of the Month = One month of training for one veteran
-
50% of profits from each bag goes directly to the program
You’re not just buying coffee. You’re clearing the waitlist.
💰 Where February’s Donations Went
-
$12 to Heavy Hitters Project
-
$146.89 to a service dog training nonprofit in Orange County, CA (who once helped save my life)
Total: $158.89
It might not look like a big number. But it is. Every dollar is a ripple. And when you add those ripples up over time? You get a wave.
📰 Would You Join a Nonprofit Livestream?
We’re thinking about doing live sessions with the nonprofits we support. You could hear directly from the founders, ask questions, and see your impact firsthand.
Would you watch? Let us know.
🌱 March’s Nonprofit: The Vital Roots Foundation
This month, we’re supporting the Vital Roots Foundation, run by an Army Sergeant Major turned farmer who found healing in the soil and is now building a program to help other veterans do the same.
His vision is powerful. The kind that changes lives. We’ll be sharing more soon, but you can check them out here:

Until Next Time...
Everything we do, we do because of you.
This community is proving that business can be a force for good, that coffee can save lives, and that when people care deeply enough, nothing is impossible.
Thank you for being part of this.
Stay strong. Stay caffeinated.
Keep being Honorguard.
